Why Lootfabriq was built

After years of building custom tools for managing game data, one thing became painfully clear: while the tools worked, creating them from scratch every time was a massive time sink. Every game had its own quirks, and starting from zero with each new project was exhausting.

When the same problem popped up during a personal project, it hit us: why not build something once that could work for everything? We figured an ideal app should let teams create templates for game data, be simple enough for anyone to use, and flexible enough to handle all sorts of projects. So, we decided to make it.

Lootfabriq was born out of this idea. It lets teams design templates, build forms that anyone can use, and link items together in ways that make sense for the game. Then, you can export everything in JSON, ready to plug into your game engine. No more starting from scratch with every project — just a tool that makes life easier.

As a small, bootstrapped team, we’re building this because we’ve lived through the problem ourselves. It's not perfect (yet!), but we're constantly adding features and trying to make it better. It's solved a lot of headaches for us, and we hope it’ll do the same for you.
